‘Punch Drunk’ Istria Is Back For Revenge
A colourful night of family fun awaits those who dare to step into the arena and witness ‘Punch Drunk’ Istria take on Mitch Ryder in “This Means War.”

Pro Wrestling League is returning to Kedron-Wavell this August where twenty men and women from across Australia will be competing, leading to the main event.

Pro Wrestling League Promoter Michael Jozis said the main event will see ‘Punch Drunk’ Istria take on Mitch Ryder after Mitch and his manager cheated to win the last Pro Wrestling League event.

“Pro Wrestling League offers a night out unlike anything else in Queensland, combining athletic action in-ring with ongoing storylines and character developments that continue to build from show to show, almost like an ongoing TV series.”

“Istria is a Queensland native, who has since relocated to South Australia and runs the Wrestle Rampage Dojo in Adelaide, and has competed across the world, including the United States and Japan,” Michael said.

Pro Wrestling League provides an entertaining night out for fans of all ages with several wrestlers parading colourful character personas.

“Outback Adam springs to mind immediately, as he is an outback adventurer and one of his signature moves is the Gator Roll. Lucille Brawl comes out looking like a superhero and is involved in an ongoing storyline where she and her partner, Bobby Bishop, have been chasing after a mysterious briefcase,” Michael said.

Current Pro Wrestling League Champion, Mitch Ryder, has recently trained with New Japan Pro Wrestling, which is regarded as one of the top professional wrestling companies in the industry. He is looking forward to defending his title this August.

Kedron-Wavell Marketing Manager Louis Peters said there will be a bar and a hotbox in the room for audiences to purchase food during the show.

Audiences can expect six or seven rounds of wrestling with an intermission half-way through the event where fans can grab food and are even invited to meet the wrestlers competing in the event.

“We hope that fans who’ve come along for the ride will continue to support our live events, as we continue to grow Pro Wrestling League into one of the top professional wrestling promotions in Australia,” Michael said.
