Magic Movie Night in the Park
Get your skates ready because Xanadu is rolling onto the screen for this month's free movie in the park, hosted by Brisbane City Council.

The colourful, cult Olivia Newton-John flick will transport you back in time with a soundtrack featuring music from Newton-John, Cliff Richard and Electric Light Orchestra.

Marchant Ward Councillor Fiona Hammond said everyone should come along, bring the kids and relive their childhood by seeing this iconic movie.

We are going back to the 80s with Xanadu ' big hair, bright clothes and great music,ť Fiona said.

Once you have the Xanadu soundtrack in your head, you will never get rid of it, but oh, what a joy!ť

Xanadu tells the tale of a Muse named Kira (Newton-John) who inspires an artist, played by Michael Beck, to open a nightclub. Things get complicated when they fall in love.

You're sure to see plenty of crimped hair and neon on the night with a fancy dress competition being held for those movie-goers wearing the best 80s outfit. The person deemed best-dressed will win a special gift basket.

Food and drinks will be available from The Grange Thistle Soccer Club as well as from a variety of food vans on site.

Xanadu Movie Night
